Meticulous research into the effects of solar radiation on equipment & enclosures at Hoffman has provided the details required combat temperature & radiation on equipment. Results provided information on how to provide effective temperature insulation and increase radiation shielding. Test results indicate that the top solar shields for the COMLINE series cuts temperature rise by 25% due to solar heat load. Temperature & solar radiation protection is achieved thanks to ventilation on the top of the enclosure to absorb any heating effects.
