Serial ATA Connectors and Cable Assemblies
Designed to meet the demand for higher data transfer rates, Molex Serial ATA interconnects are available in a variety of configurations to meet various power and signal supply requirements in the Data/Computing and Telecom/Networking industries. Molex is an active member of the Serial ATA International Organization (SATA-IO), which is responsible for developing and specifying Serial ATA or SATA interconnect standards.
As a primary internal storage interconnect for desktop and mobile PCs, Serial ATA connects the host system to peripherals such as SSDs, optical drives, hard drives and removable magnetic media devices. SATA hard drives are important in networking applications as they enable the integration of higher capacity, cost effective storage solutions.
