RS232 Optical Isolator
RS232 to RS232 optical isolators guard your asynchronous equipment from the hazards of ground looping. Plugging directly into your DTE hardware, the Model 590 Series provides 2500V_rms peak DCE/DTE isolation. The Model 591A (115.2kbps max) isolates 4 lines on the RS232 interface, two of which are selectable by internal jumpers.

No external power required

Extends RS232 distances (when AC powered)
