Alarmed emergency override switch. Specified for use with Storm AXS access control products, this integrated device provides a means of emergency escape through an access controlled (secured) exit door. Single or multi door release. Breaking the glass panel permanently releases an electrically operated fail-safe door lock, unlocking the door(s). Breaking the glass panel can also simultaneously trigger a local and/or remote alarm system. Unit Includes an integral piezo siren. The ‘break glass’ system is activated by striking the glass with the attached mini-hammer. Replacement glass panel included. This device is designed to be easily installed to a flush mounted, standard US format, electrical back box. This device is painted blue to avoid confusion with fire alarm activation devices or request-to-exit (REX) switches that are often provided for non-emergency egress during routine use of an access control system.
