Protection from Harsh Environments
Bud Industries' SNB Stainless Steel Series maximizes protection of sensitive electronics and critical electrical controls. Constructed of 16 gauge 304 stainless steel, this new NEMA box is ideal for harsh environments and applications where sturdy steel, security, and a seal against moisture are required. It is suitable for outdoor applications such as wind turbines and solar power systems, as well as for housing industrial controls in wash-down, marine, and corrosive environments in the food or medical industries. The SNB Series has continuous welded seams and a hinged cover that has a water-tight seal. The hinged cover clamps to the base with a keyed quarter-turn latch that requires a non-traditional key for added security. External mounting brackets allow the box to be mounted on a wall or panel without having to remove the cover and expose internal components to the environment. Enclosures are designed to meet NEMA 1, 2, 4, 4X, 12, and 13 requirements.
